RILO AP participated in the pre-meeting of Operation LYNX, South East Asia organized by WCO, in Putrajaya, Malaysia, from 14th to 15th January 2020. We discussed the schedule of the WCO-organized operation.

 The operation aims to focus on the targeting of vehicles, vessels and aircraft being used to smuggle illicit goods in the South East Asia region. WCO, Royal Malaysian customs Department, Thai customs and RILO AP shared trends and risk factors of high-risk items such as illegal cigarettes by each country, and emphasized the need for joint cooperations between countries.
