Launching Event of Vice Chair Office of Asia Pacific for the 2020 -2022

World Customs Organization (WCO) has officially announced Indonesia as the Vice Chair Asia Pacific for the 2020 – 2022 period. A virtual launching event to commemorate the announcement was held on 15th of July through a videoconference. Hosted by Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia, representatives including Customs Attaché from each countries Embassy, Jakarta and representatives from Regional Intelligence Liaison Office for Asia and the Pacific (RILO AP), Association of south East Asian Nations (ASEAN), the Asia Pacific Regional Office for Capacity Building (ROCB) attended. Starting with the message of WCO Secretary General Kunio Mikuriya, remarks from former vice chair India and remarks from Director General of Customs and Excise Indonesia were followed. Head of RILO AP and external participants also delivered a congratulatory message. At the end of schedule, Indonesia announced its future plans as vice chair of the WCO Asia Pacific region.
